Week 2!

Hello Hopper Families!

I hope you enjoyed back to school night. I know its a lot of information to take in. One of the changes this year that our principal, Mrs. Smith, talked about is the lunch with your child. You will now be able to pick your day starting in October. Some dates not available. More info to follow. Also, Picture Day will be held on Thursday, September 12th. Please check your child's folder for the form. You can order your pictures online at

SCHOOL PLAY: This year's play will be Sussical Jr.!!! The parent meeting will be held on Monday, September 9th at 6:00 p.m. at RES. This is mandatory for any student who plans to participate.

PTO MEETING: Our first meeting of the school year will be held on Tuesday, September 10th 7:00p.m. at RES. Meetings only last about 1 hour. We have tons of fun things planned for our students and would love to hear your opinion. Come join us if you would like to learn more. BINGO NIGHT: Our Back to School Bingo Night is Thursday, September 19th. Doors open at 5:45p.m. and bingo starts promptly at 6:00p.m., ends at 7:30pm. You will have the chance to win some fun prizes. CLEARANCES: Many of our programs at our school depend on volunteers to make happen. In order to volunteer, you must have your clearances. Please check out this website: to find out exactly what you need. Parents already with clearances, please make sure they are up to date.

BOX TOPS: The Box Tops for Education program is changing the way we can earn cash for our school. Now instead of clipping the box top, you can just scan your grocery receipt! Visit to see how easy it is!

COLOR DASH: Lots going on for this! This is our main fundraiser for the next 2 years, so it's important that we raise as much money as we can. The main event will be held on Friday, October 4th, 5:00pm-7:00pm. Students are encouraged to ask friends and family to sponsor them. Donations of any amount may be given via cash or check or Venmo. We even have all different sponsor levels for those wanting to give a little more. Please check your child's folder for the flyer. I have attached the 3 pages here, here, and here. In support of the color dash, next week we will be having a Penny War!

PENNY WARS: From Septermber 9th-13th, each class will have their own jug for collecting money. Gain points by adding pennies and bills to your classrooms jugs .Lower other classrooms totals by adding silver coins to their jugs! Attached here is the flyer.
