Dear RES Families,
Due to the lack of volunteers, we are canceling the winter clubs. Thanks to Kristina Wolko, Chadra Somerman and the two volunteers who tried to organize the clubs and enrich our students life. Maybe next year we will be able to offer an opportunity for our students to learn/practice/do something different.
In December we displayed all the Yearbook Cover entries for the school to vote, and vote they did! The winner cover for the 2018-2019 Reidenbaugh Yearbook was made by Sophia Banh. Yeah!! All entries received votes and if your child created or contributed to one of them, please congratulate them for their wonderful work!! We will have the runners up on the back cover and try to display all the other entries throughout the yearbook.
Before we proceed, we would like to ask you to share with the caregivers who drive your kiddos to school in the morning these car rider door information. As the students are being dropped off, more cars are coming and they keep coming until 9:00am. Please pull up to the sign that says "dive up to this point" before stopping, unless there's a car already there. If your car door has a child safety lock or if your child is having "issues" that morning and needs a little more time to get out of the car, please move past the "drive up to this point" sign before putting the car on park. Another option is to just park the car in one of the parking spaces (while you read the lunch menu for your child, or tries to find her homework). The following car riders and drivers thank you for passing this along!!
PTO MEETING: Our next PTO Meeting will be on Tuesday, January 8, at 7:00pm in Room 104. Come check out what we have planned for our school in the new year. Perfect place and time to share opinions, ask questions and simply listen to what goes on in our PTO. If you want to be involved a little more, come talk to us. We will direct you to the best use of your time, according to your availability.
HOPPERVILLE BOOKSTORE: Our monthly Hopperville Bookstore is on Wednesday, January 9, from 8:00am to 8:45am in the cafeteria. Please make sure your children have checked in with their teachers before coming to the bookstore.
BOX TOPS: Did you know there is another way to earn Box Tops for Reidenbaugh? In addition to clipping Box Tops from various products, there is a Box Tops app that you can use to scan your purchases and collect even more Box Tops for our school. Below is the link for more information and to install on your smartphone:
If you install and use this app, you can send me an email with the number of Box Tops earned through the app at cmathers@comcast.net and I will make sure your child’s teacher gets credit for those Box Tops as well.
FAMILY LUNCH WEEK: Next week is our Family Lunch Week. One, and only one member of the family is invited to come have lunch with the student.
