Thank you all so much for coming to Fall Fest. Jaime McGarrity Costanzo and Kerry Maki did a great job planning it, even with a last minute bounce change from our vendor because of the wind. Combining events with the 5K was a new challenge and they executed it seamlessly.
As for the fundraiser, we held our very first ever 5K, and WOW! We were so proud to see so many people - young and “wise” - supporting our school community. The Costume Fun Run was so much fun, too.
We have LOTS of “thank you”s, so please bear with me! THANK YOU to… …everyone who registered and ran/walked …every generous family who donated to support our PTO this year and beyond …our corporate sponsors who made this large event possible …all of the PTO board members who worked tirelessly for months to plan/execute this huge undertaking. Rachel, Lisa and Amanda, you are amazing. …Lauren Bergren who helped us create/manage our event site and registration data …Ms. Capoferri for her support and partnership, as always …Mrs. Jessica Lewis-Caloviras for offering ideas and helping to manage all the paperwork/logistics …the wonderful teachers & staff who helped promote the event within their classrooms and attended/helped today …our custodial staff, particularly Mr. Rick, who was a ROCK STAR today moving every table, chair, extension cord, and any single thing we needed …our first responders (MTPD, MTFR, EMS) for being so engaged in our community and keeping us safe …Girls on the Run for helping to volunteer, and Mrs. Lizzette Seda Anders and Mrs. Leslie Fuhrman for helping us include them in this …all of the parent helpers who helped in the planning and also today, on the big day - we couldn’t pull it off without you! …Matt Scaccia who helped with our graphics/tshirts/banners …Carrie Fairchild (Lulubelle Photography) for generously lending us her talents by taking some photos today that we’ll share soon!
...and of course, none of this would have ever happened, had it not been for our fearless PTO President, Kim Firestone, who dedicated hundreds of hours planning this event from start to finish. This was not an easy task and Kim took it all in stride and handled every obstacle that came her way with a friendly attitude and smile on her face!
The amount of “thank you”s above just goes to show what a true team effort this was, and it’s because we ALL love this school community - the kids, the families, the staff. We are so fortunate to be at Reidenbaugh. Thank you.
