Happy Halloween!

Hello Hopper Families!

Just a few quick things to bring to your attention....

HELP WANTED: We are in need of someone to chair a Virtual Talent Show. If you are interested, please email Rebecca at rebeccas1222@yahoo.com.

THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE: From our Principal, Trudi Smith & School Counselor, Beth Lester:

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, we value the importance of continuing to provide food for families who find themselves in challenging times. We recognize that this season is going to present itself differently, due to the pandemic and guidelines regarding our district’s health and safety plan.

In past years you have generously contributed non-perishable food items and donated grocery gift cards/ receipts so we could include a frozen turkey with our meals. Last year, we were able to provide 27 of our families with a Thanksgiving basket.

To continue our distribution tradition, we are asking for monetary donations or GIANT gift cards so that we may mail our families gift cards to select holiday foods of their choice. We will also accept your turkey voucher receipt if you do not plan on using it. Thank you to Nicole Raudabaugh, who has again volunteered to assist us this year in any way needed.

If you are able to provide us with a monetary donation or a GIANT gift card, please send it into school with your child(ren) beginning Monday, November 2nd. In addition, if you will not be using your turkey voucher receipt, we can ensure it will be shared with a Reidenbaugh family. Please send donations in an envelope marked “Thanksgiving.” We will continue collecting cards until Friday, November 13th. Thank you for your continued generosity and have a safe and blessed holiday with your family.

CAR RIDER DISMISSAL UPDATE:

Inclement Weather and/or Unsafe Driving Conditions on the Playground

In the event of inclement weather or unsafe driving conditions on the playground, there will be a slight change in the route of the car rider dismissal line.

You may have noticed the new GREEN flags on the poles where you enter the parking lot and where you enter the current route.  If there is a change to the route due to the weather or driving conditions on our playground area, these flags will be changed to RED in order to alert you to the change.  The entrance from Buckwalter Rd will be the same, however the route will stop at the sidewalk and NOT wind around onto the playground.

We realize that this will cause a back up onto Buckwalter Road.  Please be even more patient on these days.  Students will be dismissed from the end of the building as quickly as possible.

SPROUTING LEARNERS: This is an early childhood district program that provide access to pre-k experiences for our youngest learners and their families.
