Hello Hopper Families!
As the last few days of summer winds down, we wanted to touch base with you about some information and important events that you will want to have on your calendar! We have an exciting school year planned and we don't want you to miss anything!
Our first PTO event of the school year will be an ICE CREAM SOCIAL, held on Thursday, August 24th from 5:00pm-6:00pm at the RES Playground. This year, grade levels will be color coded so it’s easier to find teachers and friends. Look for the balloons for each color to find your teacher, say hello, check out the class rosters, and get a paper bracelet with your color. Grab a cool treat (dairy-free will be available) and find friends on the playground wearing the same color!
Kindergarten: BLUE
1st: PURPLE 2nd: ORANGE
3rd: GREEN
4th: RED
5K/ FALL FEST: This will be held on Saturday, October 21st! Typically, the PTO holds "the Race for Reidenbaugh" every other year, as our major fundraiser to sustain us for 2 years. This year, we decided to mix it up and do something different. The 5K aims to be a family-friendly event, where family and friends can run/walk together in their support of Reidenbaugh. Pretzel City Sports will be timing our run and registration will be open soon!
Also a bit different, we are moving our annual Fall Fest from a weeknight to Saturday, immediately following the race. We hope this will be a day full of fun for all of our Hopper families, whether you participate in the 5K, fun run, or the festival...or all of the above! Stay tuned for more details!

CLEARANCES: This year, ALL VOLUNTEERS who plan to help at school in any capacity (party helper, classroom volunteer, PTO, etc) MUST have all necessary clearances. It's simple, and only takes a few minutes. Please check out this website: https://www.mtwp.net/community/volunteer-information/ to find out exactly what you need. Parents already with clearances, please make sure they are up to date.
STAYING CONNECTED: Please spread the word to any new families- these newsletters will come weekly with important PTO information, so please make sure to join our email list. To subscribe, check out our website, www.reidpto.com and scroll a tad down till you see subscribe now on the right hand side, enter in your email address, press submit, and your all done! You can also simply email us at reidpto@gmail.com to be added. Don't forget to join our Facebook group, Reidenbaugh PTO, where we share timely updates and reminders and often photos of our activities. If you have moved to another school district or if you child is not going to Reidenbaugh any longer, just send us an email with unsubscribe on the subject line.
We hope you enjoy the last week of summer vacation, and look to forward to seeing your smiling children on the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL which will be on Tuesday, August 29th. The first full day for Kindergarten will be on Wednesday, August 30th.
