Hello Hopper Families!

Looking ahead at RES...….

COLOR DASH: Still lots of time to collect those donations! We will be accepting donations up until the day of the race on Friday, October 4th. Again, this is our main fundraiser for the next 2 years, so it's important that we raise as much money as we can. Donations of any amount may be given via cash or check or Venmo. I have attached the donation sheet here. We even have all different sponsor levels for those wanting to give a little more. That info is attached here.

Also, in order to make this event a success, we need volunteers! Please consider donating 30 minutes of your time. Here is the sign up genius.

What is a Color Dash?

- A Color Dash, also known as "the happiest short distance on the planet", is an event that has no winners or prizes, but runners/walkers who are showered with colored powder, made of food grade corn starch, at stations along the run. Participants are encouraged to wear white so the color thrown on them POPS!! Fandanas and sunglasses are included in all pre-registrations!

Check in at 5:00, race time at 5:30

After the Dash:

Hang out and enjoy friends & family and our food stand which includes (for purchase) hot dogs, pizza, small salads, drinks and more!

DIRECTORY: The registration link is now open! Each school year, a student directory is compiled courtesy of the PTO board and directory coordinator for the families of students attending our school. Due to families moving in and out of the district and protection of school records, information is requested each school year. Participation in the directory is optional and is password protected. While teachers may provide a list of student names, participating in the directory eases communication between fellow parents for class work, birthday invitations or car pooling. In accordance with the district’s reduced paper policy, a link to the protected directory is emailed, and only to those who participate. To have your information included in the directory, continue to the link below… Information should be entered/completed by a parent or guardian. Please make sure to submit information for EACH child.

SUESSICAL JR: If you were at the parent meeting and your child wants to audition for the play (not crew), please remember to follow the steps to get an audition time! Students who want to be on a crew do not need an audition time. If you were not at the parent meeting and your child wants to audition for the cast or be on a crew, you will need to email Kelly Parker at If your child wants to be involved (cast or crew), please remember you must send in their audition form/crew form by October 1st (next week)!

HOPPERVILLE BOOKSTORE: Our first Hopperville of the year will be on Wednesday, October 2nd! What is hopperville? Well its where your child can buy used books for as low as $.25 to $1.00! We have a great selection for all levels of readers. The bookstore will be open from 8:45am-9:00 am. Your child can also earn coupons to shop for books by donating your used books to Hopperville. Students will earn 1 coupon worth $.25 for every 4 books donated! Please contact Kelly Zeigler at with any questions or if you are interested in helping.
