It's the last week of school!!!

Greetings Hoppers families!

We are down to our final 2.5 days of school! Can you believe how fast the school year went? We can't. This was an amazing year filled with amazing events that the PTO committee worked very hard on. Of course, the PTO cannot do it without the help of parent volunteers and the teachers. We want to give a huge THANK YOU to Beth Montague & Kim Topf for organizing the Spring Festival. This is a huge event that requires a lot of work and planning and these ladies, along with their volunteers, knocked it out of the ballpark. Way to go!!!! There are some events that still need chairs for the next school year. If anyone is interested, please email Rebecca Stanion at

We received this email from Deb Schlegel, the PE teacher, that we wanted to share. Your welcome, Deb! Thank you for all you do for our school!

Dear Reidenbaugh,

Thank you for your flexibility with scheduling and assistance throughout the field day event. Your help and enthusiasm mean so much. I'd also like to thank our students for showing their Reidenbaugh PRIDE and our parent/guardian volunteers! There could not be a successful field day without any of you! Enjoy your summer!

Here is some end of the year info...….

LOST AND FOUND: Please remind your child to check the lost and found bin this week. All things left behind won't be there at the beginning of next school year.

STEP UP DAY: In the afternoon of Tuesday, June 4 students in all grade levels at Reidenbaugh will participate in “Step Up Day.” Each class will go to a classroom in the grade level above them and will rotate among the rooms. They will do a short activity with the teachers and have some time to ask questions about next year and learn information about what to expect in the coming year. Fourth graders will go back to Kindergarten and have some fun with their former teachers! We hope this will alleviate any anxiety for students about what to expect the following year, as well as give the teachers a chance to meet the upcoming students.

4TH GRADE CELEBRATION: This will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 6:00p.m.- 7:30p.m. It is a drop off event for the students only. Drop off will be at the car rider doors and pick up will be gym doors. At dismissal we will have the Good Life Ice Cream Truck at the playground. Each student will receive a ticket to get a free cone. They will have ice cream available for purchase if any parents or younger siblings want any. Please have students wear their class shirt they received last week (check their backpacks!!), and also have them bring their yearbooks so they can get them signed.

We are in need a few more volunteers to make this event run smoothly. We are especially in need of parents to help set up and to face paint. You don't have to be an artist! Please consider signing up for a slot- you can even split the time with a friend- just note it in the comment section.

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL: Wednesday, June 5 is the last day of school. Everyone will be dismissed at noon. No lunch will be served that day. Please plan accordingly and have a wonderful summer.

SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE: Please click here for the school supply drive. It is to help get local students in need off to a good start by purchasing a few extra items. Please help if you can! Thanks.

CLOTHING DRIVE: LRIS & the Middle School will be collecting gently used clothes, child size 7/8 thru adult size L, May 20 - July 6th. The drop off location is at the district office. Please consider donating anything you don't wear anymore. This will benefit Rachel's closet. Click here for the flyer. Please contact Roseanne Myers at with any questions.
