Spring Festival is this Friday!!
Greetings Hoppers families!
Beautiful weather for our holiday weekend, wasn't it? We hope you all enjoyed it. We had an awesome Red, White and Blue day this year! It is the 8th year in a row that the sunshine greets us at this event. It was a terrific kickball game also. Congrats to the 4th grades to were able to tie with the Reidenbaugh Teachers this year. Overall, the positive vibe all around was what made it such a wonderful day. Here are a few photos for you to enjoy.
As we count down last seven days of school, there are a few important notices we all should pay attention to. Please keep in mind that alone, each individual is but a drop of water, together we become an ocean. We need you to volunteer a little of your time at SPRING FESTIVAL. We need each individual family to help just a little and together we will become the ocean to make this an amazing event.
Now, let's take one minute and read the posts below, shall we?
SPRING FEST BASKETS: This is just a reminder to the room parents that spring festival baskets are due by Tuesday, May 28 in room 104. Please make sure the baskets are ready to go when you drop them off. If you have not sent in your donation, please do so ASAP as the room parents probably paid for your part.
ALL CLASSROOMS PARENTS: If you haven't done so, please make sure you volunteer a little of your time to help out during the Spring Festival. Click here to volunteer. All classrooms, all grades, are asked to be a part of this huge event.
YEARBOOKS: For all who ordered yearbooks, they will be distributed at the end of the week. If you don't get yours by Friday, May 31, please contact Chris Drew at christiedrew@gmail.com.
LOST AND FOUND: Please remind your child to check the lost and found bin this week. All things left behind won't be there at the beginning of next school year.
SPRING FESTIVAL: We are ready for this wonderful Spring Festival!! Please consider volunteering. If we all volunteer just 30 minutes our students and families will have a wonderful time. STEP UP DAY: In the afternoon of Tuesday, June 4 students in all grade levels at Reidenbaugh will participate in “Step Up Day.” Each class will go to a classroom in the grade level above them and will rotate among the rooms. They will do a short activity with the teachers and have some time to ask questions about next year and learn information about what to expect in the coming year. Fourth graders will go back to Kindergarten and have some fun with their former teachers! We hope this will alleviate any anxiety for students about what to expect the following year, as well as give the teachers a chance to meet the upcoming students.
4TH GRADE CELEBRATION: This will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 6:00p.m.- 7:30p.m. It is a drop off event for the students only. Drop off will be at the car rider doors and pick up will be gym doors. At dismissal we will have the Good Life Ice Cream Truck at the playground. Each student will receive a ticket to get a free cone. Please have students wear their class shirt they received last week (check their backpacks!!), and also have them bring their yearbooks so they can get them signed.
We are in need a few more volunteers to make this event run smoothly. We are especially in need of parents to help set up and to face paint. You don't have to be an artist! Please consider signing up for a slot- you can even split the time with a friend- just note it in the comment section.
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL: Wednesday, June 5 is the last day of school. Everyone will be dismissed at ..... No lunch will be served that day. Please plan accordingly and have a wonderful summer.
SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE: Please click here for the school supply drive. It is to help get local students in need off to a good start by purchasing a few extra items. Please help if you can! Thanks.

MOVIE NIGHT: The next movie night will be June 26th, 7:00p.m. at Penn Cinema, and it will be Toy Story 4!!!!!! You won't want to miss this! Doors open at 6:30. Order forms are due by Friday, May 31st. Please contact Rosenne Myers at rtmrunner@gmail.com with any questions.
CAMP INVENTION IS COMING: Are you looking for a super fun, innovative, creative summer camp? We have the perfect camp for your kiddos, Camp Invention! Camp Invention is a nationally acclaimed summer program where STEM concepts come to life. Led by local teachers, this program has tapped into kids' natural curiosity since 1990. LOOKING FOR A SUMMER MATH TUTOR? Tom Saurer, a former teacher of Reidenbaugh Elementary and current 5th Grade Teacher at Landis Run Intermediate, will be tutoring math this summer (Grades 3-6)! From the office: If your student is a car rider for the day, please send in a note. No changes may be made to a student's transportation after 3:00pm.
Students arriving after the 9:00AM bell must come to the school accompanied by a parent or guardian. The student must be signed in at the front office by the parent or guardian.
Please send in an excuse note the date your student returns from an absence.
An educational trip request form must be received in the office 1 (one) week prior to the absence or it will not be approved. All school work missed during the trip will be provided after the absence.
