Greeting RES Families,
Here is a quick recap of the things happening this coming week. Before we get to that though, we would like to send a big shout out to Adelina Panosso, Jen Boyer & Amy del Castillo for the amazing job with the Holiday Shop! Can't wait to hear it all at this week's PTO meeting! Also, huge Thank you to Roseanne Myers for Family Movie Night. Ladies, you all rock!! Thank you for being a part of the Reidenbaugh PTO! Now, let's see what this week (with the help of some other great PTO parents) brings!
PTO MEETING: Our December PTO Meeting is this Tuesday at 9:30am. Yes, you read correctly, 9:30am. If you are overwhelmed with after school activities (like most of us are!) this is your opportunity to meet us. Have questions? Comments? The PTO meeting is the perfect place to bring up ideas and give us feedback on how the kids are liking the PTO and school events. Bring your cup of coffee and curiosity. We will be waiting for you!
HOPPERVILLE BOOKSTORE: This Wednesday, December 5, we have our monthly Hopperville Bookstore. This is the perfect place for your child to choose his/her own books. We have gently used donated books for all elementary school reading level. Books cost start at 0.25 cents. We also have Reidenbaugh school supplies such as pencils and erasers. Remember, your child can donate books at any time throughout the year. The donation box is at the school main entrance. For every 4 items donated, your child earns 1 coupon worth 0.25 cents. Remember to place a paper with your child's name and homeroom in the bag with your donated items.
SCHOLASTIC WINTER BOOK FAIR: One night only Scholastic Winter Wonderland Book Fair is
coming to Reidenbaugh! On Tuesday, December 4 at Reidenbaugh from 6:00 to 7:30pm. We will have cookies and hot and cold chocolate available for purchase. You will love it, the kids will love it, but, as you know, we need your help to be a success. Can you give us a bit of your time? Click here to sign up for a spot. Thank you!
WINTER CLUBS: They're Back...Reidenbaugh clubs will return on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019!

Or maybe you’d like to lead a club, but you’re not sure what you can offer?
If you are willing to facilitate a club, either by yourself or with a partner, we are grateful for your help!
Some of the ideas and clubs offered in previous years include: Ceramics, Music, Arts & Crafts, Gardening, Dance, Astronomy, Dodge Ball, Insects, Science, Origami, Running, Paper Airplanes, Yoga, Community Service, Sewing, Culture Club, Board Games, Checkers or Chess; Foreign Language, Book Club, Creative Writing, Invention Club, LEGO, Coding, Odyssey of the Mind, Public Speaking, Sign Language … THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS…
If you are interested, please email reidenbaughclubs@gmail.com by December 7. If we don't have volunteers we can't do clubs on our own. Please consider helping out for a few weeks to make school even more fun for our kiddos!

YEARBOOK: Have you ordered this year's yearbook yet? If not, what are you waiting for? Order here now!! Reidenbaugh ID code is 13484019. You can order with cash, check or online. Deadline is next Sunday, December 09. As we did last year, we have a "Pay It Forward" program to help some families who are going through hard times. We will give those kids a Reidenbaugh Yearbook so they also can remember what a great year they had and what a wonderful school this is. If you can help, please send your donation with your Yearbook purchase money and a note on the envelope. You can also make the donation online when placing your order. Thank you!!
TEACHER APPRECIATION LUNCHEON: As we get closer to the holidays it is time to show the Reidenbaugh teachers and staff how much we appreciate all they do for us. The Winter Teacher Luncheon will take place on Wednesday, December 12. Here is the Sign Up for the volunteers contribute with time and/or an item (food and gift card). From the office: If your student is a car rider for the day, please send in a note. No changes may be made to a student's transportation after 3:00pm.
Students arriving after the 9:00AM bell must come to the school accompanied by a parent or guardian. The student must be signed in at the front office by the parent or guardian.
Please send in an excuse note the date your student returns from an absence.
An educational trip request form must be received in the office 1 (one) week prior to the absence or it will not be approved. All school work missed during the trip will be provided after the absence.
