Greeting Reidenbaugh Families!
Welcome month of May! Kids are getting excited for the end of this school year. There are a lot of fun days ahead of us. We have it all written down for you here. A big thanks go to all those who came to our last PTO meeting of the 2017-2018 school year. We had great discussions and good ideas! Thank you to the absolutely wonderful parents who accepted to head one of our committees. We really can't do this without you! Hershey Park tickets generated $1000 for our school. Thank you all for the purchases. Mrs. Smith mentioned all the new things for next year, like the 6 days schedule. Library will be back full time also. We learned about the ALICE training which will be rolled out in August. Our faculty is very excited about next year and so are we! FIELD DAY: We had an spectacular time!! All the kids had a blast! The weather was perfect and we were able to have all the stations open for all the grades. Volunteers, thanks a million for your help! Mrs. Schlegel and Mrs. Bowers, thank you for organizing all this fun for our students!

BOOKS FOR BREAKFAST: This time, Books for Breakfast is for 1st grade! This Thursday, May 10, from 8:00 to 8:45am, the 1st graders' breakfast on us! Parents and relatives are invited, however, it's only one person per family due to the space in our Cafeteria.
SPRING FESTIVAL: The Carnival is coming to Reidenbaugh!! You should have received the T-Shirt Order Form this past week. We are extending the due date to this Monday, May 7. That way you will get all your T-Shirts for the Spring Festival. Here is the link to the order form where you can see the two colors offered. Also, don't forget to order your Raffle Tickets. They are due this Friday, May 11.
RED, WHITE AND BLUE STREAKS 5K AND FUN RUN: Our first annual MTEF Red, White and Blue Streaks 5K and Fun Run is on Memorial Day, May 28, 2018 at the Manheim Township High School Stadium. There will be a timed 5K and a fun run with activities for children including crafts and face painting. Prizes will be awarded for the Most Patriotic Runner, top male and female runners, and top 3 male and female runners in several categoies. We will have food trucks as well as cheerleaders there. DISTRICT ART SHOW: Please click here for the flyer for the MT Art Department District Show. Come check out what our Manheim Township students are painting, sculpting, creating and more. It's Saturday, May 19, from 3pm to 7pm at MT High School. Refreshments will be served. Thanks for your support. See you at the show!
4TH GRADE CELEBRATION: Attention 4th grader parents, the end of school celebration is now on Thursday, June 7 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. This is a drop off event and we have chaperones at the school to watch your student.
BOX TOPS: Our final Box Tops collection day is at the end of the month, May 25. If you completed your Box Tops sheet, send it in. Don't forget to write your teacher's name so we can give him/her credit!
ATHLETICS: The Manheim Township Athletic Department has numerous athletic programs that are offered for grades K-8. They will post these and all new events on their Athletics page and FB & Twitter.

From the office: If your student is a car rider for the day, please send in a note. No changes may be made to a student's transportation after 3:00pm.
Please send in an excuse note the date your student returns from an absence.
An educational trip request form must be received in the office 1 (one) week prior to the absence or it will not be approved. All school work missed during the trip will be provided after the absence
