Hopperville Bookstore this week

Hello Reidenbaugh Families!

Well, we finished the first week of the year with an delayed school day start followed by a snow day. I have good news, the weather will be better (meaning warmer) this week!! Although it will feel way warmer than this past week, it is winter time and will be cold so, please, don't forget the coats and hats. These are somewhat quiet weeks for us as we regroup after the holidays and start the new year. Still, there's always something going on. As per the last email, Hopperville Bookstore will take place this week, yeah! Let's pick up where we left off, shall we? Just read below.

HOPPERVILLE BOOKSTORE: This Wednesday, January 10, our Hopperville Bookstore will be waiting for your child(ren)! We have books, puzzles, pencils and more ranging from $.25 to $.50 each. The bookstore is open from 8:45 to 9:00am but students must check in with their teachers before shopping. If you have any questions, please send an email to reidpto@gmail.com. Also, we are looking for donations! Some of the popular book series are Pokemon, Captain Underpants, Dork Diaries, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, the Fairy series, Minecraft, Magic Tree House and I Survived, just to name a few. Remember, for every four books you send in, your child gets a credit. The Hopperville Bookstore donation box is located at the main entrance of the school. Make sure you have your books (or activities) in a bag with your child's name and classroom.

NO SCHOOL: Please write on your calendars there's NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 15 for inservice day. School will resume its normal hours on Tuesday, January 16.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION: Online registration for kindergarten for the 2018-2019 school year will open on January 15th. If your child will be 5 years old on or before August 31, 2018 they are eligible for kindergarten. The first step in the process is to complete and submit the online portion of the registration. After the online registration has been submitted, the second step in the process is to make an appointment and come to the district office with the required documentation. The online registration will indicate the documents that will be needed to register your child. You can call 717-569-8231 to make that appointment.

MT PLANETARIUM SHOW: Stories are passed from generation to generation and bring joy to all of these listening. The starts in the night sky have a story too. These talks were told by our ancestors and are still being told today. Come hear the breathtaking story of what lies in our wintertime skies as we explore the Winter Wonders. It will take place on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 4:00pm and 8:00pm at Manheim Township High School Planetarium. Tickets may be purchased online, or at the door.
