Greetings RES Families!
Happy New Year! We hope you had a wonderful holiday season and are ready for all the joy 2018 will bring!! School starts again tomorrow and we are excited. After a week dealing with holiday commotion and the kids’ agitation, I know I’m ready to get back to the school routine! We have PTO meeting this week kick off the activities and then Hoppeville Bookstore. Please remember to dress your kids warmly because it is freezing outside!! With temperatures so low, the kids probably won't go outside for their own safety, but please remember that even a walk from the house to the bus stop or to the school could harm our little ones. By the way, the township website updated their Inclement Weather Procedures (just a few modifications) and we want to make sure you know all channels used for communication, so make sure you read that post. One last thing, have a wonderful year!!!
SCHOOL RESUMES: Tomorrow, Tuesday, January 2, Reidenbaugh will resume all activities for all grades at its normal time, 9:00am.
PTO MEETING: As school resumes, so do our PTO activities. Our first PTO Meeting of the year is tomorrow, Tuesday, January 2, at 7:00pm in Room 104. Come talk school and find out for yourself what we have planned for our kiddos. We would love meet you personally, answer your questions and listen to your ideas!! See you there!!
HOPPERVILLE BOOKSTORE: This Wednesday, January 3, our Hopperville Bookstore will be waiting for your child(ren)! We have books, puzzles, pencils and more ranging from $.25 to $.50 each. The bookstore is open from 8:45 to 9:00am but students must check in with their teachers before shopping. If you have any questions, please send an email to reidpto@gmail.com.
DELAYS AND CLOSINGS: As it gets colder, we need to be prepared for the possibility of 2-hour delay or closing. When the weather forecast indicates a chance of hazardous driving conditions, the decision to close school (or delay school day start), if possible, will be made no later than 5:15 am, to provide families adequate time to be notified and to seek and find daycare and alternative family plans, if needed. Early notification also allows our transportation, maintenance and food service teams to prepare for necessary adjustments and modifications. However, please be aware that while we may make the decision before 5:15 am, it will take time to update the radio, television and other communication vehicles, as well as for the media outlets to post this information. We will work as quickly as possible! Here is the list of channels:

From the office: If your student is a car rider for the day, please send in a note. No changes may be made to a student's transportation after 3:00pm.
Please send in an excuse note the date your student returns from an absence.
An educational trip request form must be received in the office 1 (one) week prior to the absence or it will not be approved. All school work missed during the trip will be provided after the absence
