Let it snow!!

Greetings Hopper Families!!

Wow! That all I can say, wow, what a week! (with beautiful snowfall to wrap it all up!) Our December PTO meeting was quick and sweet with several news to share. We had Joann Hentz with us, the newly elected Board member. Minutes should go on our website in a week. We had a total of 21 turnkey baskets, which went to 21 families. What a great Thanksgiving gift! That's not all. We had enough gift cards to help families throughout the holidays. Thank you all very much for all your donations!! Thanks to Amy del Castillo for organizing the Poinsettia Sale! My flowers are beautiful! Thanks to Danielle Vitti and also to Our House Cafe for the great job catering for the Teacher's Luncheon. I believe our teachers enjoyed the Holiday Luncheon last Wednesday by the looks of this email below. What do you think?

Dear PTO,

Thank you, so much, for the lovely winter luncheon. It truly is an event that brings smiles to the teachers' faces! The food was delicious, the decor was beautiful and the appreciation was deeply felt. Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season.

Sincerely,

Anne W. Miller

Barnes & Noble Family Night was crazy fun as always! The kids get all excited! It's wonderful to see. It is heart warming to see all the families there showing their support to our children and our school. Thank you so much for all you do to make our events a success!!! Photos will be posted on our website, www.ReidPTO.com. Now keep your eyes and ears open for the Staff Unique Holiday Outfit. Yes, you heard that correctly! I can only imagine...

TRAFFIC ON BUCKWALTER: We just want to communicate that Township, with the direct support of Dr. Felty, is working with PennDot to get a Flashing Light on Buckwalter because of the additional traffic we are getting from the new development/buildings on W. Millport Rd. Help us spread the word to the new families and businesses in this area that Reidenbaugh is located at the corner and Buckwalter and Snyder Rd. Let's keep our students safe!!

DELAYS AND CLOSINGS: As it gets colder, we need to be prepared for the possibility of 2-hour delay or closing. When the weather forecast indicates a chance of hazardous driving conditions, the decision to close school (or delay school day start) will be make prior to 5:45am. An announcement will be posted in various communication channels. Here is the list of channels: Websites: www.mtwp.net, www.facebook.com/manheimtownship, www.lancasteronline.com Twitter: @manheimtownship Television stations: WGAL(NBC8), WHTM(ABC27), WPMT(FOX43) and WHP(CBS21). Radio stations: WROZ FM 101.3, WJTL FM 90.3 and WDAC FM 94.5

COATS: Please send your kiddos to school dressed appropriately for this cold weather. We go outside for recess and coats and hats will help keep your child comfortable.
