Hello December

Greetings Hopper Families!!

December has arrived. With it, all the craziness of the holidays. Just take a deep breath and believe everything will be alright. At least that's what I do! To make this time of the year memorable and even busier for you we have several things coming up before our winter break. Before you continue, there's something that needs to be shared with you, a thank you email form Caitlin's Smile. Check it out:

PTO MEETING: This Tuesday, December 5, is our December PTO Meeting, which is during the day time to accommodate those parents who can't come in the evening hours. Come to the Reidenbaugh at 9:30am to learn what we have planned for the next few months and to share your thoughts with us. We love the interaction and to hear your ideas. Remember, you are a part of the PTO just by having a child at Reidenbaugh!

TEACHER LUNCHEON: A reminder that our Holiday Teacher Luncheon will be this Wednesday, December 6. We still need a few more donations! Come on Reidenbaugh, let's show our teachers how much we appreciate what they do for our kiddos!! Please click here and choose your donation. Due date is this Monday December 4. BARNES & NOBLE FAMILY NIGHT: This is a crazy fun night that the children look forward to!! This Thursday, December 7, from 6pm to 8pm our teachers and students will be performing at Barnes & Noble on Fruitville Pike. You don't want to miss this! Here is our agenda to the evening:

6:00pm - Kindergarten and Mr. I: "Turkey Claus"

6:10pm - 1st Grade: "Olive the Other Reindeer"

6:20pm - 2nd Grade: "Memoirs of An Elf"

6:30pm - 3rd Grade and Ms.Rios: "The Twelve Days of Christmas Vacation"

6:40pm - 4th Grade and Mrs. Pattey will be singing

6:50pm - Safety Patrols sing "Hand to Hand"

7:00pm - Students Ambassadors do a special performance

THANK A TEACHER: Looking for a great teacher gift? Recognize special teachers, coaches and staff with a donation in their name to the Manheim Township Educational Foundation. Recognized faculty will receive a personalized certificate with your name on it. With donations of $25 or more, MTEF will gift a book to their school’s library! Donations also return to Manheim Township students in the form of grants and support of educational programs. Simply visit MTEF.net/donate and download the Thank a Teacher form. Watch for forms coming home the week after Thanksgiving!

PoW (PARENTS ON WELLNESS): Do you have a special interest in promoting school wellness? Would you like to evaluate the food choices offered at our school cafeteria? Are you interested in discussing health-promoting foods that could be added to our current menu? Do you know there are healthful choices that are delicious, cost effective, and remain within the nutritional guidelines that could be added to our menu? From the office: If your student is a car rider for the day, please send in a note. No changes may be made to a student's transportation after 3:00pm.

Please send in an excuse note the date your student returns from an absence.

An educational trip request form must be received in the office 1 (one) week prior to the absence or it will not be approved. All school work missed during the trip will be provided after the absence
