Hello Reidenbaugh Families!
Thanks to all those who attended our first PTO meeting. We have some great things coming up for our Reidenbaugh students. Big Thanks to Jen Finkelstein for organizing the Madagascar movie day this past Thursday. The kids loved it! We sent out an email about the Reidenbaugh Clubs. Several exciting clubs for your child to choose from and participate on Monday mornings. Sign up due date is this Monday. More information below. Race for education is this week and it's not too late to send out that email. Remember, all contribution will directly benefit your children for the next two years! Directory registration also closes at the end of this week. Please read all these information and more below.
NO SCHOOL: Remember, there's no school tomorrow, Monday, October 9. Reidenbaugh will resume it's normal hours on Tuesday, October 10.
REIDENBAUGH CLUBS: Clubs are designed to give your child an opportunity to try something new, make new friends, just have fun or get a little bit of exercise. Please pay special attention to the grade level for each club. After your child has made their decision please click on the link at the bottom of this email to complete the online sign up form. Club sign up closes at noon on Monday, October 9. Please email resclubs@gmail.com with any questions.
iPAD NIGHT FOR PARENTS: For the students in 3rd grade, Manheim Township is holding a iPad Info Night for the Parents on October 11 from 6:30 to 7:30pm at the MTSD High School Convocation Hall. You will understand how the iPads are being used in class.
RACE FOR EDUCATION: It's this Thursday, October 12!! Reidenbaugh kids are counting on you to help them raise funds by asking sponsors to contribute a tax deductible donation to our PTO. If you haven't sent out the email, there's still time! Just copy and paste the text below, add your child's name and send it to your relatives, friends, neighbors, business associates and anyone else you know who would want to invest in your child's education.

ADOPT A CLASSROOM: As we were contribution to Back Pack of Hope, Mrs. Kurtz was working on a way to give back to the community hurt by Hurricane Harvey. We are now expanding this initiative to the whole Reidenbaugh school. In a letter explaining how she came across "Adopt A Classroom" program, Mrs. Kurtz includes photos of the Sheldon Early Childhood Academy, in Houston and the classroom her own classroom here has adopted. You can read Mrs. Kurtz's letter here. Let's join in with Mrs. Kurtz's kindergarten class and help this kindergarten class in Houston. Please send in your donations to Mrs. Kurtz's adopted classroom.
STUDENT DIRECTORY: This is your last chance to register for the Student Directory. If you haven’t signed up for the directory, do it now! Registrations will close this Friday, October 13. To register in the student directory just go to our website www.ReidPTO.com and click on the registration button. To make it easier, just click here for the link.
MADAGASCAR JR: Our Reidenbaugh play is in the works! If your child is interested in participating in this production, either acting or back stage, please come to the parent meeting on Monday, October 16 at 7pm. We will be going over the information on auditions, requirements, rehearsals, etc.
BOX TOPS: We are coming up on the deadline to submit Box Tops! The collection deadline is Tuesday, October 24. Please send in your Box Tops sheet with your child’s teacher’s name in the space provided at the top of the sheet. If you still have more clipped Box Tops, please place them in a Ziploc bag of no more than 50 per bag. Label each bag with you teacher's name and grade and amount of Box Tops. Remember to check expiration dates. We cannot receive credit for expired Box Tops. You can send in sheets that are not full so please do not hold on to these just in case some have November 1, 2017 expiration dates. From the office: If your student is a car rider for the day, please send in a note. No changes may be made to a student's transportation after 3:00pm.
Please send in an excuse note the date your student returns from an absence.
An educational trip request form must be received in the office 1 (one) week prior to the absence or it will not be approved. All school work missed during the trip will be provided after the absence
