Hello Hopper Families!
We are entering the last week of September. The equinox was last Friday and now our nights will get longer and our days shorter. It has been a pretty good month for Reidenbaugh with Back to School Night, Bingo and Kids for a Cause coming this week. Thank you to all the families who came to our Back to School Bingo on Friday! There were over 270 people! We had a blast!! Thank you Heatherann Paul and Susan Matson for organizing such a wonderful evening for the Reidenbaugh families! Thank you also to all of you who donated to Back Pack of Hope! We will keep you updated.
KIDS FOR A CAUSE: This week we have kids for a cause on Friday, September 29. Kids for a Cause is a school event where we support a charity or association. This month we are supporting the American Red Cross to help with Disaster Relief Efforts & Suzanne Coleman Foundation. Bring some change to the school on Friday and get to wear your hair is a crazy style the whole day!!
RACE FOR EDUCATION: We are getting closer to the big day!! Reidenbaugh kids are counting on you to help them raise funds by asking sponsors to contribute a tax deductible donation to our PTO. Please go to www.race4ed.com/res to sponsor your student. Think of relative, friends, neighbors, business associates, coaches and anyone else you know who would want to invest in your child's education and forward them the link for sponsors.
STUDENT DIRECTORY: Have you signed up for our Reidenbaugh Student Directory yet? Our goal is to get this directory to you before the end of October. If you haven’t signed up for the directory, do it now! Registrations will close on Friday, October 13. LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS: Great news: our kids are doing library book exchange and they are loving it! That, however, generates a pile of books every week that need to be put back in the shelves for the next kid to take home. Our dear Mrs. Winters needs a volunteer's help to put all those library books back. If you can come in for one hour a week to help keep the library organized for our kiddos, please email Mrs. Winters at winterka@mtwp.net.
XCEL2FITNESS: All 3rd - 4th grade boys - our season starts this Tuesday after school. There are a few spaces left, not to late to sign up at www.xcel2fitness.com/lancaster.
GROW THE SEED OF LEARNING: The program Plant the Seed of Learning is now reaching children from 2 to 4 years-old with Grow The Seed of Learning! Hour-long classes are designed to teach parents to stimulate their child’s brain with fun and healthy activities. All classes are FREE! Advanced registration is required. From the office: If your student is a car rider for the day, please send in a note. No changes may be made to a student's transportation after 3:00pm.
Please send in an excuse note the date your student returns from an absence.
An educational trip request form must be received in the office 1 (one) week prior to the absence or it will not be approved. All school work missed during the trip will be provided after the absence.
Closed toed shoes are really helpful for playground and recess time. It's also important that sneakers are won on Gym days.
