Hello Hopper Families!
Our first PTO Meeting will be held tomorrow, September 6th, 9:30am-10:30am, at RES cafeteria. All parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to attend. Please enter thru the front door to sign in. We will tell you about upcoming events and ways to get involved. We cannot operate without volunteers. Bonus- we also have FUN! We love new (and old) faces, so grab a friend and attend:)
Back to School Cereal Drive: So far we have collected about 150 boxes of cereal. Way to go! Please help us reach our goal of 400 boxes to create a giant domino chain! We will be accepting new (unopened) boxes of cereal until Back to School Night, Sept. 18th. All boxes will be donated to a local food bank. Attached are the flyers.
WHO WANTS TO BE A ROOM PARENT? Responsibilities include planning classroom celebrations; coordinating classroom volunteers and donations for class parties; coordinating donations for the end of year gift basket for the PTO cultural/spring festival; and supporting teachers in other ways in their classrooms. Room parents also typically collect parent donations for teacher holiday and end of year gifts. If you are interested, please fill out the attached google form by Monday, September 9th. Parents will be selected via lottery. Please note, you MUST HAVE CLEARANCES (see next paragraph) to be a room parent.
CLEARANCES: This year, ALL VOLUNTEERS who plan to help at school in any capacity (party helper, classroom volunteer, PTO, etc) MUST have all necessary clearances. It's simple, and only takes a few minutes. Please check out this website: https://www.mtwp.net/community/volunteer-information/ to find out exactly what you need. Parents already with clearances, please make sure they are up to date.
SAVE THE DATE: Join us for a night of BINGO on Thursday, September 26th. We will offer two seating sessions. The first will be 5:30pm and the second will be at 6:45pm. Keep an eye on your child's folder for the flyer (coming soon). We'll also have HOPPERVILLE BOOKSTORE (opportunity to buy books from .25 to $1.!!!!!!) between sessions from 6:15-6:45pm.
STAYING CONNECTED: Please spread the word to any new families- these newsletters will come weekly with important PTO information, so please make sure to join our email list. Don't forget to join our Facebook group, Reidenbaugh PTO, where we share timely updates and reminders and often photos of our activities. If you have moved to another school district or if you child is not going to Reidenbaugh any longer, just send us an email with unsubscribe on the subject line.
