Hello Hopper Families!
Welcome to a new school year!! We had an amazing first week with many new faces around.For the new families: trust me, you and your child(ren) will love this school and our community! Please make sure you complete, sign and send back the emergency papers which came home in the green folder on the first day of school. Ice cream social was wonderful and the adults seemed to have as much fun as the kids.
We also want to share a photo of part of our faculty enjoying the new outdoor sitting area. We are looking for plant donation, such as perenials, for our outdoor decor. Please email rebeccas1222@yahoo.com if you would like to donate a plant. Back to school night is this week. Come meet the teachers and learn what Reidenbaugh has planned for this year!
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT: On Thursday, September 6, from 6:00 to 7:30pm the parents are invited to come meet your child's teacher, learn about the classroom expectations and hear from our principal, Mrs. Smith and the PTO.
6:00 to 6:25pm Session 1 in classrooms
6:35 to 6:55pm Parent session in the auditorium
7:05 to 7:30pm Session 2 in the classrooms
GIRLS ON THE RUN: Practices will start this Thursday, September 6 and be held every Monday and Friday from 3:45 to 5:15 pm. The Girls on the Run 5K will be on November 10. You can register at www.gotrlancaster.org. Financial assistance is available through GOTR. Contact Kelly Kline at kelly@kellykline.us with any questions.
SUMMER BINGO: Forms are due to your teacher by Wednesday,September 5. If you misplaced your form, it's on the home page of this website.
PTO BOARD MEMBERS: We are looking for volunteers to share the eblast as this is the last year for this parent. If you are curious of what it is, please contact Chris Drew at christiedrew@gmail.com. She can let you know exactly what would be involved!
ROOM PARENT: If you are volunteering to be a room parent please note there is a change in the room parent meeting date. Should you be selected as a room parent the meeting that was previously scheduled for Friday, Sept 14 at 9:30am will now be Monday, Sept 17 at 9:30am in Room 104.
MINI-THON: Reidenbaugh will be holding our first Mini-THON on Friday, April 5, 2019 to raise money to support Four Diamondas at Penn State Children's Hospital. The first introductory meeting for the Four Diamonds mini-THON is Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 7PM in Room 104. Our Four Diamonds liaison will be there to give an overview of what mini-THON IS and how it helps our community. We will have information on each committee so volunteers can sign-up for the area that interests them the most!
